Given the recent market turmoil, it’s understandable if you’ve gone back to review your retirement accounts and made some moves. While I personally haven’t done anything, I try to subscribe to the long term view and believe short term adjustments won’t help, I totally understand those who have made changes. That being said, the latest Chairman’s Corner article at Vanguard warns that you should take a long term perspective, tune out headlines, maintain balance and diversification, and stick to your plan. It’s basic for those who already understand it and a gentle reminder to those who know the basics but are hesitant to accept it given the turmoil.
